Technical Support Specialist Job Description
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to our customer base via help desk and telephone.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain a wide variety of Linux/Window systems
- Extensive cPanel/WHM experience.
- Extensive OpenVZ and KVM Experience.
- Troubleshooting IPv4/IPv6, DNS, FTP, NFS, HTTP, hardware, and connectivity issues
- Communicate with vendors to design and troubleshoot systems
- Handle escalations for customer and internal issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Monitor hardware, applications, and network status and proactively resolve issues
- Experience with Windows and Linux systems
- Installing and troubleshooting operating systems through remote consoles (IPMI, IDRAC, KVM)
Qualifications:
- 2+ years Server Administration (Linux and Windows)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to do phone support
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to work in our Fort Myers office
Location: Amsterdam, NL
Compensation:
Starting pay is €13/hr.
Not required by highly desired:
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting physical systems
- Experience working in a data center environment
- Knowledge of Routing, Firewalls, BGP, Switching, OSI Model, packet trace and analysis, etc
- Skills in scripting and software development (PHP, Python, Bash, etc)
- cPanel Certifications
