Certificate with company data
The certificates with organisation validation contain company data. With this company data, visitors of a website can verify whether they are visiting the correct organisations website. The company data is included in the certificate, but will not be prominently displayed like with EV certificates.
Validation
In addition to the domain validation with which the applicant shows that they have control over the domain for which the certificate was requested, the company data is also verified. To do so, we look at a public registry, such as that of the Chamber of Commerce, and we contact the organisation by phone.
Delivery time
The delivery time of the certificates differs per supplier. Because we have to conduct a verification by telephone, the delivery time is longer than that of domain validation. However, Sectigo certificates, for example, can be issued within fifteen minutes during office hours.
